Spring Cleaning

Fri May 22, 2009, 9:49 AM
While it's still spring, that is. As much as I hate when artists do this, I understand the necessity.
On Monday I'm going to go through my gallery and hack and slash. Probably dump most of my scrapbook and weed through the rest. Just a heads up.

Edit 5/25/09: BAM! Done! :3 I seem to have deleted mostly fan-art, which is okay - I'm much more forgiving of my original art.

The things ya find on the internets...

Sun Jan 11, 2009, 2:27 PM
So, I was on the internet the other day - fancy that. And, um, I was looking up Chris's address to send him his Christmas present (YES Christmas present, I'm only a couple of weeks late....not to mention I forgot his address), and I came across his mom listed on zoominfo.com. What zoominfo does, is it collects various articles on the web that have to do with the person (Chris's mom's were all school-related). And so, I got to thinking - what the hell, wonder if lil' ol me has an article or two out there. I wasn't expecting anything - I'm hardly a presence on the internet as everyone knows. So, suprise, suprise - I was in an article at Animation World Network! Granted, I'm only listed as one of the students who did color separations for the Twilight Zone comic, but hey, it's something, isn't it?

That, and I felt a need to get rid of that last depressing journal entry. XD

Proud to be an American

Sat Nov 29, 2008, 8:21 AM
No, not really. Not after yesterday.
This isn't new news, but I only found out about it last night. Some poor NY Wal-mart employee was trampled to death by frenzied customers on Black Friday. What. the. hell. Are we so caught up in materialism that it's okay to KILL someone to save some money on that shiney new TV or Xbox? I heard that news and I just felt sick.

It struck home especially hard because I work at Wal-mart as well (...yay). Fortunately, our store is open 24 hours a day. We had long lines, but people were generally good-natured and the few I saw that got angry had good reasons.

Now I know Carson City isn't Long Island, but for there to be such a difference in attitude, it's almost shocking.
And this isn't anything new - every Black Friday there's either deaths or injuries. I wish they would just do away with the whole stupid event - that, or have mini-sales every Saturday until Christmas or something.

A new website and some math...

Fri Oct 3, 2008, 12:01 PM
So, yeah, a year and some spit and I finally have a website up. Nothing fancy and I'll probably change the design fairly soon, but it's up.

As for the math, well, here's some numbers. (look, I'll do all the math, I promise:) )

1380
- 468
- 255
- 565
= 92 <--- This is how much money I have to live on each month.

The first number is how much I make, the second two are student loan payments, and the last number subtracted is rent. Mind you, the numbers subtracted don't include gas, cellphone bills and the fact that the A/C cord on my laptop has failed me and I have to get a new one. -___-

I'm not asking for donations, far from it - I'm willing to work for my money. What I am saying is that commissions are open! The prices are on my website if you're interested. *puppy dog eyes*
